Mosquito Squad wants everyone using the same Categories, of which each Contact (the highest-level entity type in SM) may only be one of:
- Current Customer (marked in Categories with the "Customer" box checked) with a future service date. This should be the only category marked customer.
- Cancelled Customer: never want to market to or service.
- Historical Customers: any customer that is 30+ days since their final treatment.
- Leads: you know about them, but not done business with yet.
- Trade Alliance: a referring vendor or paying via barter.

The easiest way to re-set your categories all correct is like this. (It looks like a lot, but is pretty easy)
1 go to contacts and set the only filter to be on Category = Current Customer.
2 use the actions button in the top right to 'Update' and set them to 'Lead'
3 go to contacts and set the only filter to be on Category = Historical Customer.
4 use the actions button in the top right to 'Update' and set them to 'Lead'
5 go to Appointments and select All at the top
6 use filter builder to set a filter on Status to be NOT EQUAL to Canceled
7 Use the Actions button in the top right to add Tag new tag 'Temp-Historical'
8 use filter builder to add a condition of schedule date > 1/1/2020
9 Use the Actions button in the top right to add Tag - new tag 'Temp-Current'
10 Go to Contacts. Clear all filters. Click the Filter button at the top and select Tags and only select 'Temp-Historical'
11 use the actions button in the top right to 'Update' and set them to 'Historical Customer'
12 Go to Contacts. Clear all filters. Click the Filter button at the top and select Tags and only select 'Temp-Current'
13 use the actions button in the top right to 'Update' and set them to 'Current Customer'
14 go to Control Panel > Categories and Tags and delete the 'Temp-Current' and 'Temp-Historical' tags
1 go to contacts and set the only filter to be on Category = Current Customer.
2 use the actions button in the top right to 'Update' and set them to 'Lead'
3 go to contacts and set the only filter to be on Category = Historical Customer.
4 use the actions button in the top right to 'Update' and set them to 'Lead'
5 go to Appointments and select All at the top

14 go to Control Panel > Categories and Tags and delete the 'Temp-Current' and 'Temp-Historical' tags
